Good Morning Sir/Ma, I am writing to express my interest in your role as I believe it offers a point where my skills can converge and give me a headstart in excelling with the company in the renewables space; an area I am a keen believer in. I qualified with a PhD in Energy & Power, and MSc distinction in Building Services (M&E) Engineering. My 16yrs experience has been spent managing the project delivery, and design of medium & large-sized MV & LV electrical generation and distribution systems. I am also an expert in managing design teams and writing technical, and project control documents. My project experience spans working client-side, and with contractors on renewable power generation, defense, industrial, and infrastructure projects for clients like National Grid, Scottish Water, Shell, BP, TOTAL, SABIC, BAE, Highways Agency, Local Authorities, etc. In a recent role, I was tasked with developing the electrical function of a fast-paced innovative company and delivering the electrical works package for two petrochemical plants in Europe with Total and Saudi Aramco as the clients. My time was split 30-70 between these tasks respectively and I gained multiple outstanding reviews from clients and superiors, and the respect of my peers for the quality of my work. In my previous role with E.ON, I was the electrical lead on more than 10 projects. Working across design and operation, I averaged three employee commendations per month – an in-house record at the time. In me, you have someone that is evidently intelligent and confident with a genuine passion for top performance and innovation, an area in which I have won multiple industry awards from the likes of CIOB, and innovation grants from Cranfield University.
