KX Power Limited are pleased to announce that our 95MW/190MWh Battery Energy Storage development located in Scunthorpe, England is ready for construction. We have secured a 132kV 95MW connection from Northern Power Grid and planning permission from North Lincolnshire Council. Construction is to start in early 2023 with Commercial Operation Date of Q3 2024.
The project will support the balancing of the grid supplies by entering into National Grid’s wholesale, capacity & ancillary service markets. This is one of the largest developments in UK and Battery Energy Storage Systems are the key to unlocking the full potential of intermittent renewable energy, KX Power Limited are proud to be leading the way in contributing to UK’s renewable energy transition.
