MANNINGTON 35MW/70MWh BESS
As the new year starts we are proud to announce that our utility scale 2-hour duration 35MW/70MWh Swindon BESS development is now operational. Our ESS has been installed with market-leading sophisticated data-analysis algorithm technology that optimises the economic value of the battery, providing up to 75GWh of annual import and export capacity to the National Grid, a major contribution towards helping to deliver the UK’s Net Zero ambition.
Like all construction projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been a few challenges due to the national lockdowns and supply chain issues. However, the team was resilient and determined to not fall victim to these issues and have completed the construction to an extraordinary standard with safety at the forefront of our minds.
Mannington is now generating revenue via various grid balancing schemes, as well as the wholesale market. Well done team, on to the next development we go.
